20.05.2025 In den letzten Jahren hat die Pharmaindustrie in Europa konstant ihre Investitionen in Forschung und Entwicklung erhöht, 2023 beliefen sich diese auf etwa 50 Milliarden Euro. Im Jahr zuvor wurden 38 Medikamente mit neuem Wirkstoff auf dem europäischen Markt eingeführt. Dennoch wurde am Dienstag auf einer Pressekonferenz der Agentur für Gesundheit und Ernährungssicherheit (AGES) und des Forums der forschenden pharmazeutischen Industrie (FOPI) auf deutlich rückläufige Zahlen bei klinischen Studien in der Region hingewiesen.
