In Lower Austria, a GPS tracker revealed a duo of thieves. Two Lithuanian citizens, aged 35 and 41, are accused of stealing three e-mountain bikes worth a total of about 8,500 euros last Thursday morning in Gloggnitz (Neunkirchen district).

The men were apprehended in the municipal area of Neustift-Innermanzing (St. Pölten district), the police reported on Wednesday.

The theft was committed in the bicycle room of a multi-party house. Because one of the e-bikes was equipped with a GPS tracker, the location of the suspects was quickly pinpointed. Officers from the Lilienfeld and Altlengbach police stations arrested the duo. The loot from Gloggnitz was secured, as well as another bicycle, the origin of which is still under investigation.

According to the Lower Austria State Police Directorate, the Lithuanians partially confessed but gave contradictory statements about the incident. They were admitted to the Wiener Neustadt prison by order of the public prosecutor's office.
