He was a great actor and colleague, an inexhaustible source of knowledge and passion for theater. His analytical strength, empathetic presence, and experimental, courageous attitude were and remain exemplary.

With this, he enriched and shaped the local theater scene for decades, particularly in over fifteen productions of the Vienna Entertainment Theater WUT. In the fall, Müllner was supposed to play Diego Rivera once more in the revival of “Frida Kahlo” at the Ensemble Theater.

The Vienna Entertainment Theater remembers him with deep sorrow and a sense of emptiness, but also with gratitude and fond memories.

Wolfgang Müllner, born in 1951, completed his acting training at the Salzburg Mozarteum. From 1975 to 1983, he had engagements at the Theater der Jugend, Theater in der Josefstadt, and the Vienna Schauspielhaus, and since then as a freelance actor. Collaborations included working with Michael Schottenberg (TIK), Karl Welunschek, Michaela Scheday, Stefan Bruckmeier, and Eva Hosemann (Cologne, Stuttgart, Danube Festival). Member of the Vienna Entertainment Theater (W.U.T).

The funeral will take place on Thursday, April 17 at 2:00 PM at the Central Cemetery Hall 1/Gate 2.
